Devices with Active Policies report
The Devices with Active Policies report provides information about your active devices with at least one activated policy.
When you add a device to a custom policy group, the Hardware policy is activated automatically, which enables the collection of hundreds of unique data point A discreet unit of information that is detected on a device and communicated to the Absolute Monitoring Center by the device's Secure Endpoint Agent.s from the device. To view this hardware information, add columns to the Devices with Active Policies report.
On the Reports page, you can access this report from Absolute view or the Device category.
The Devices with Active Policies report applies to supported Windows and Mac devices with an activated Hardware policy.
IMPORTANT Any Chromebook devices that are assigned to a custom policy group show in the Devices with Active Policies report. However, because the Secure Endpoint Agent and its components are not supported on these devices, the Hardware policy can't be activated on these devices and enhanced hardware information is not available.
The following filters are used to generate this report:
Agent status is Active
Policy group Name is not empty
The Devices with Active Policies report includes a default collection of device information organized in the following columns:
- Device name, which includes the device's device name The name assigned to the device in the operating system. For Chromebooks, device name is not applicable and therefore shows as "Chrome" in the Secure Endpoint Console. and serial number The identification number assigned to the device by the device manufacturer. For Windows devices, this value may correspond to the serial number of the BIOS, the motherboard, or the chassis, depending on the manufacturer.
- Policy group name The name of the policy group that the device belongs to.
- Hardware last updated The date and time when a device's hardware information was last updated in the database.

NOTE Depending on the Absolute product licenses associated with your account, the EDD > Status column may not be available.
The icons in these columns indicate the status of each policy on the device.
- Username Username of the user who was logged in to the device when an agent connection occurred. If no user was logged in during the most recent agent connection, the last detected username shows. If you are viewing a report and want to see if a user was logged in during the most recent connection, add the Current Username column to the report. If no user was logged in at the time of the connection, "No Data" or two em dashes (— —) show in the column.
- Make The manufacturer of a device.
- Model The manufacturer's designated name for the type of device.
- OS > Name The name and version of the operating system detected on a device. The operating system is software that manages the software and hardware installed on a computer and allows programs and services to run. It is responsible for the basic operations of a computer system.
You can use most device information as search criteria to search for a device, or a group of devices. You can add more device information to the report, such as custom fields, by adding more columns.
NOTE If two em dashes (— —) show in a column, the device information associated with the column was not detected on the device.
By default, the report data is sorted by Identifier, in ascending order. You can change the sort order by clicking a column heading.
