Viewing a device's applications
On a device's Applications page, you can view detailed information about the software installed and detected on the device. You can access the Applications page from any page that shows linked device identifiers in the results grid, or from the Applications page for an individual application.
The Applications page applies only to Windows and Mac devices with an active Installed Applications policy.

To open a device's Applications page:
- On any page that shows linked device identifiers in the first column of the results grid, such as the All Devices page in the Devices area, click the link for the device that you want to view. Summarized information about the device shows in the page header.
- Click the Applications tab. The device's application information shows.

A device's Applications page includes a default collection of application-related information organized in the following columns:
-
Application name: the detected or normalized name of the installed application
If the detected name is shown, you can view the normalized application name by adding the Application column to the page.
- Version: the full version number of the installed application
- Publisher A company or organization selling software applications that is detected by a device's Secure Endpoint Agent and reported in the Secure Endpoint Console.: the normalized name of the application's publisher
- Installed: the date and time (local device time A date and time expressed in a device's local time zone, as opposed to server time. In the console, local device time applies to usage data collected from devices, and the scheduling of some device action requests.) when the application was installed on the device, or when it was last upgraded
- Install location: the full path to the location where the application is installed on the device
The following columns are only available when an Absolute Resilience product1 is associated with the device. View my licenses
-
Application Compliance > Status: the application's compliance status based on the requirements set in active application policies
If both a Required Applications policy and an Application Resilience policy are applied to the same application, any Non-compliant result takes precedence, in which case the application is reported as Non-compliant in this column.

Status | Details |
---|---|
Compliant | Indicates that all requirements set in active application policies have been met and the device's application installation is deemed to be compliant |
Non-compliant |
Indicates that one or more requirements set in active application policies have not been met and the device's application installation is deemed to be non-compliant |
No policy | Indicates that no application policy is currently applied to the device for this application |
Unknown |
Indicates that an application compliance status could not be calculated ![]() Application compliance information is unavailable and a status of Unknown is reported when there is an issue with the application's installation, such as:
|
-
Application Compliance > Status details: the issues that are causing the application to be non-compliant
-
Application Compliance > Last scan: the date and time the Secure Endpoint Agent last scanned the device for installed application information

You can search for an application by application name, version number, publisher, or install location.
To search for an application, enter all or part of a keyword in the search field and click Search or press Enter.

By default, the page's data is sorted by application name, in ascending order. To sort the data by another column, click the applicable column heading. To reverse the sort order, click the column heading again.

While you are viewing a page or report, its data is not updated dynamically as new data becomes available. To show the most recent data available in the system, such as information that was just uploaded from a device, click the icon in the bottom left of the page. The Last updated field updates to the current date and time.

You can work with a device's Applications page in the following ways:
