Viewing a device's hardware information

On the Hardware pages for a device, you can view detailed information about the hardware installed on the device. You can access the Hardware pages from any page that shows linked device identifiers in the results grid.

NOTE  The Hardware pages show comprehensive hardware information for those devices that belong to a policy group in which the Hardware policy is enabled.
Depending on the configuration of your account, the Hardware policy may not be enabled on devices in the Global Policy Group. For these devices, hardware information is limited to the information available on the Asset Report, which is a fixed report. For more information about the Asset Report, see the Absolute User Guide.

To view the hardware information for a device:

  1. On any page that shows linked device identifiers in the first column of the results grid, such as the Assets > Devices page, click the link for the device that you want to view. Overview information about the device shows in the page header.
  1. Click the Details tab and then click Hardware. The following subtabs show:
  2. NOTE  The Absolute agent is responsible for detecting and collecting hardware information from a device. For details about the specific hardware information detected for each supported operating system, see the Hardware section of Data points collected by activated policies.
