Viewing a device's Custom Data Points

On the Custom Data Points page, you can view detailed information about the custom data points on a Windows device. For Mac, Android, and Chromebook devices, the Custom Data Points page is available but it displays no data. You can access the Custom Data Points page from any page that shows linked device identifiers in the results grid.

To view Custom Data Points for a device:

  1. On any page that shows linked device identifiers in the first column of the results grid, such as the Assets > Devices page, click the link for the device that you want to view. Overview information about the device shows in the page header.
  2. Click the Details tab and then click Custom Data Points.

If the device belongs to a policy group that is configured to collect Custom Data, the following information shows on the Custom Data Point page:

    • The date and time the data was last updated

    • All data points enabled for the device

    • If a data point is populated, the value shows next to the data point name

    • The status of each data point collected for the device, including a warning or error message if a problem occurred during data collection

NOTE  If No data shows, the device doesn't belong to a policy group that is configured to collect Custom Data, or the device hasn't called in since the Custom Data policy was enabled.

  3. If you are logged in as a user with the required permissions, you can update the Custom Data policy by clicking Add or Edit Data Points.
