Viewing devices in policy groups
You can open a policy group and view details about the Active devices associated with it.

To view a policy group's devices:
- Log in to the Secure Endpoint Console as a user with View permissions for Policies.
- On the navigation bar, click
Policies > Policy Groups.
- On the Policy Groups sidebar, click the policy group that you want to view.
- Under the policy group name, click <#> devices. The policy group's Devices page opens to show the list of devices that belong to the policy group.
- To close the Devices page when you're done, click
.

By default, the following filters are used to generate a policy group's Devices page:
Agent status is Active and
Policy group is <policy group name>
Note that if you are viewing a policy's ineligible devices, the following filter is also applied to the page:
Base license > Name is not <name of product or products that are required to activate the policy>

The Devices page includes the following information:
Column | Description |

Device name The name assigned to the device in the operating system. For Chromebooks, device name is not applicable and therefore shows as "Chrome" in the Secure Endpoint Console. |
The device's device name The name assigned to the device in the operating system. For Chromebooks, device name is not applicable and therefore shows as "Chrome" in the Secure Endpoint Console. and serial number The identification number assigned to the device by the device manufacturer. For Windows devices, this value may correspond to the serial number of the BIOS, the motherboard, or the chassis, depending on the manufacturer. To view the device's Device Details page, click the linked device name. |
Base license > Name |
The name of each Absolute base product assigned to the device Hover of a name to view the full name and expiration date of each license in a tooltip. |
Add-on license > Name |
The name of each Absolute add-on product assigned to the device Hover of a name to view the full name and expiration date of each license in a tooltip. If there are no add-on licenses assigned to the device, No Data shows. |
Username Username of the user who was logged in to the device when an agent connection occurred. If no user was logged in during the most recent agent connection, the last detected username shows. If you are viewing a report and want to see if a user was logged in during the most recent connection, add the Current Username column to the report. If no user was logged in at the time of the connection, "No Data" or two em dashes (— —) show in the column. | The username of the user that was logged in to the device when the most recent agent connection occurred. |
Activation date A field and report column that shows the date and time that the device completed its first check-in to the Absolute Monitoring Center and the device's Secure Endpoint Agent was activated. | The date and time when the device first checked in to the Absolute Monitoring Center and its Secure Endpoint Agent was activated |
Last connected The date and time when a device's component manager last connected to the Absolute Monitoring Center. For online devices, the component manager connects every 15 minutes. The device's compliance status as determined by the conditions set in the associated Device Compliance policy

By default, the data is sorted by the Last connected column, in descending order. You can change the sort order by clicking a column heading.

You can edit the Devices page by performing the following tasks:
To revert to the default view of the page, click > Reset to default.
You can also view the location of your devices.
To add devices to the policy group, click to close the policy group's Devices page, and then click
(Add devices).
