AI Assistant
You can use the console's AI Assistant to quickly find device information or get step-by-step guidance for tasks you're most interested in.
AI Assistant uses the power of AI to query the data stored in the Absolute database. Note that your device data is not used to train the AI model, nor is it shared externally or with other Absolute accounts.
In the current release, AI Assistant can respond to questions about data in the following areas:
-
Device hardware and software information
Dashboard metrics and device inventory data are not available for Inactive and Disabled devices in AI Assistant. -
Device location
-
Applications
-
Application usage
-
Web usage
-
Events (logged in Event History and in a device's History page), such as those related to:
-
Remote device actions
-
Administrative changes and user account modifications
-
Security and policy alerts
-
Geolocation and geofences
AI Assistant can't query device usage events (such as lock, unlock, sleep, wake, and shutdown).By default, AI Assistant retrieves records from the last 7 days when responding to questions about events. You can query event data for up to a maximum time range of 1 year.
Example questions about device data
Depending on the data you're looking for, you can ask AI Assistant to find specific records, investigate a device, identify who performed an action, check event statuses, or count and summarize results. For example, you can ask questions such as:
-
Show me all Freeze events within the last 7 days.
-
Show me all Cryptographic Wipe events for [device name].
-
What events happened on [device name] today?
-
List the full history of actions on [device name].
-
Has [device name] ever been frozen?
-
Who triggered the Cryptographic Wipe on [device name]?
-
Show me all failed actions this week.
-
List all pending Freeze requests.
-
Show me all canceled script executions in the last 30 days.
-
How many failed Wipe attempts have there been this month?
-
How many devices were frozen in the last 30 days?
-
Give me a count of login events per user this week.
-
How many devices have [application name] installed?
-
Show me the most frequently used applications this week.
-
Where was [device name] located yesterday?
-
You can also ask AI Assistant questions about how to perform tasks in the Secure Endpoint Console. When you ask a question about using a feature or completing a task, AI Assistant searches the Help system and provides step-by-step instructions based on the relevant Help topics.
For example, you can ask questions such as:
-
How do I add a widget to my dashboard?
-
How do I create an application policy?
-
Can I delete files on multiple devices at once?
AI Assistant responds with instructions to guide you through the process directly in the console without having to open the Help separately. It also provides links to related Help topics if you want more detailed information.
