Visualizations

Insights includes a collection of preconfigured visualizations (also known as panels) to help you get started analyzing the vast amount of data collected by the Secure Endpoint Agent.

For all visualizations included on the Executive Summary dashboard, the default time range is set to 7 days, while all other visualizations are set to 30 days. You can select a different time range using Kibana's time range filter. The total amount of historical data that is available depends on your data retention period.

You can work with visualizations in a number of ways, including:

  • Temporarily changing its time range on a dashboard
  • Editing the default visualizations by adding or removing filters
  • Creating and deleting visualizations
  • Exporting visualizations to a PDF or PNG file

Absolute encourages you to customize Insights to suit your needs, but instead of modifying a default visualization, we recommend that you duplicate it and add your customizations to the copy. This practice helps to ensure that your customizations are preserved if a default visualization is updated in a new release of Absolute Insights.

To access the library of visualizations:

  1. Log in to the Secure Endpoint Console as a user with Manage permissions for Insights.
  2. On the navigation bar, click Insights.
  3. Click and click Visualize Library.

  4. Search for the visualization that you want to view and click it.

    All dashboard visualizations are filtered to show data for Active devices only. Inactive and Disabled devices are excluded from all device counts.
