Canceling actions
If the required permissions are associated with your user role, you can cancel the following pending Device Actions from the Actions page:
NOTE You can't cancel an Unenroll Device or Remove Freeze request.
To cancel a pending request from the Actions page, your role needs to be granted Perform or Run permissions for the action being canceled.

To cancel Device Actions for devices in the request the devices must have an Action status of Pending or Ready.
For Send Message requests, you can attempt to cancel a request when the device has an Action Status of Processing. Once the request is canceled, the message no longer appears on the device.
NOTE Requests that are Pending Approval can only be canceled by the user that created the request.
For devices in the request that have an Action status of Failed, Processing, Completed, and Succeeded, the request has already been sent to the device and the request can't be canceled.
For devices in the request that have an Action status of Canceled, the request has already been canceled for the device.

If the prerequisite is met, you can select a Device Action request and attempt to cancel the request.
To cancel all Pending actions in a request
- Log in to the Absolute console as a user with Perform or Run permissions for the Device Action you want to cancel.
- On the navigation bar, click
and click Actions.
- Select the Device Action request from the list of actions.
- Hover on the Pending section of the progress bar in the request summary and click Cancel request.

[Optional] To see updates for the Device Action request, refresh the page by doing one of the following:
- Click
in the results grid header
- Leave the Actions page and return
- Use your browser's refresh button
- Click
Absolute attempts to cancel the Device Action on eligible devices in the request. View information on the Cancel request for a specific device on the Events page.

If the prerequisite is met, you can cancel the Device Action request for specific devices by selecting them from the devices in the work area.
To cancel a Device Action request for specific devices
- Log in to the Absolute console as a user with Perform or Run permissions for the action.
- On the navigation bar, click
and click Actions.
- Select the Device Action request from the list of actions.
- In the work area, use the search field or filters to find the devices with an action you want to cancel.
- Select each device. To select all devices in the request details, select the Select All check box in the results details header. You can select up to 10,000 devices.
- Click Cancel.

Absolute attempts to cancel the Device Action on the selected devices. View a device's Cancel request events on the Events page.
