AI Assistant
You can use the console's AI Assistant to quickly and easily find the device information you're most interested in.
AI Assistant uses the power of AI to query the data stored in the Absolute database. Note that your device data is not used to train the AI model, nor is it shared externally or with other Absolute accounts.
In the current release, AI Assistant can respond to questions about all data available in the Dashboard area, such as:
- Device hardware and software information
- Device location
- Applications
- Application usage
- Device usage
- Web usage
Information about Inactive and Disabled devices is not available in AI Assistant.

To use AI Assistant, your user role needs to be granted the following permissions:
- View permission for AI Assistant
- View permission for Dashboard - Inventory
All default Administrator roles are granted these permissions.
If you plan to grant the View permission for AI Assistant to a custom role, note that the user will have access to all data available in the AI Assistant, regardless of the other permissions assigned to the user. For example, a custom role that is not assigned the View permission for Geolocation can view device location information in AI Assistant.

To use AI Assistant, your System Administrator needs to enable it in Account Settings. If a icon isn't visible in the bottom right of each console page, AI Assistant isn't enabled.
To enable AI Assistant:
- Log in to the Secure Endpoint Console with the Manage permission for AI Assistant. Only System Administrators are granted this permission by default.
- On the navigation bar, click
Settings >
Account settings.
- Under AI powered features, click the slider next to
AI-Assistant to set it to On, and then click in the dialog that opens.

To open AI Assistant from any page in the console, click the icon in the bottom right of the page. AI Assistant opens.
