Device Usage widget

The Device Usage widget on the Dashboard provides an overview of the average daily usage The daily usage of a device, averaged over the 30 days prior to the most recent agent check-in and expressed in total hours and minutes. Note that any days with no usage are not included in the calculation. Applies only to Windows, Mac, and Chromebook devices with an activated Device Usage policy. of devices over the past 30 days. Usage is determined by Device Activity and is dependent on the type of device.

To view data in this widget, the Device Usage policy must be activated in one or more policy groups.

The widget includes the following data:

Description

Displayed information
Standard Bar

Shows the average daily usage over the past 30 days. Note that the value under Average Usage is based on all devices in your account, including devices showing No Data.

The widget also shows the distribution of light, moderate, and heavy usage as well as the number of unused devices.

Shows a bar or column for each of the following levels of average daily usage:

  • Heavily Used: more than 8 hours
  • Moderately Used: 4 - 8 hours
  • Lightly Used: 1 - 4 hours
  • Not Used: less than 1 hour
  • No Data: data is not yet available for one of the following reasons:
    • The Device Usage policy is not activated (No Data portion of the bar). If you see a significant number of devices with No Data, ensure that you have activated the Device Usage policy in all applicable policy groups.
    • The Device Usage scan is pending on the devices (Pending portion of the bar).
