Disabling Two-Factor Authentication
You can turn off Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all users in your Absolute account by disabling it. After you disable 2FA, users can use their email address and password to log in to the Secure Endpoint Console; a verification code is no longer required.
To disable Two-Factor Authentication:
- Open the applicable 2FA app on your mobile device.
- Log in to the Secure Endpoint Console as a user with Manage permissions for Authentication. The System Administrator role is the only Default role with this permission.
- On the navigation bar, click
Settings >
Authentication settings.
- In the Two-Factor Authentication area, click .
-
In the Enter verification code field, enter the current verification code showing in the 2FA app on your mobile device.
If you enter an invalid verification code five consecutive times in the same user session, your session is terminated and you'll need to log in again.
- Click .
- On the confirmation message, click OK.
2FA is disabled, and a Two-Factor authentication disabled event is logged to Event History.
