March 2024 improvements and fixes

Feature/Area Details
Anti-Malware
  • Previously, if duplicate records for a particular anti-malware product, such as Sophos Intercept X, were detected on a device, the agent failed to report that any anti-malware product was installed. This issue is now fixed.
End User Messaging
  • The warning that shows when a user clicks a URL link in an end user message has been updated. The message text now reads:

You are about to open the link in a default browser. Click OK to proceed.

Factory activated devices
  • For new factory activated devices, the Hardware last updated report column now shows the date and time when each device’s basic hardware information was first added to the console.
File Delete
  • A File Delete request may have not progressed beyond the Processing status, and you couldn’t cancel the request in Action History. This issue is now fixed.
Licensing
  • Previously, the orange banner that shows the count of unlicensed devices included devices with an Active, Inactive, or Disabled agent status. To ensure that this count matches the number of devices shown in the Unlicensed Policy Group (License management version 1) and the Unlicensed devices report (License management version 2), the banner now only shows devices with an Active agent status.
Policy groups (version 2)
  • Previously, selecting all devices on the following console pages and then clicking Change policy group may have caused all devices in your account to be moved to the new policy group, not just the selected devices:

    • History > Actions page
    • Applications page
    • Device Freeze Status report

To fix this issue, the Change policy group action has been temporarily removed from those pages. It will be added back in a future release.
