Using the mobile console
The Absolute Secure Endpoint mobile console lets you view and protect your devices when you're away from your desk. Specifically, you can do the following directly from your smartphone or tablet:

Search for a device by:
- Device name The name assigned to the device in the operating system. For Chromebooks, device name is not applicable and therefore shows as "Chrome" in the Secure Endpoint Console.
- Serial number The name assigned to the device in the operating system. For Chromebooks, device name is not applicable and therefore shows as "Chrome" in the Secure Endpoint Console.
- Absolute Identifier The unique Electronic Serial Number (ESN) assigned to the Secure Endpoint Agent that is installed on a device.
- Username Username of the user who was logged in to the device when an agent connection occurred. If no user was logged in during the most recent agent connection, the last detected username shows. If you are viewing a report and want to see if a user was logged in during the most recent connection, add the Current Username column to the report. If no user was logged in at the time of the connection, "No Data" or two em dashes (— —) show in the column.
- Operating system The name and version of the operating system detected on a device.
The operating system is software that manages the software and hardware installed on a computer and allows programs and services to run. It is responsible for the basic operations of a computer system.

View the following information about a device:
- Device name
- Username
- Last connected The date and time when a device's component manager last connected to the Absolute Monitoring Center. For online devices, the component manager connects every 15 minutes. Also see component manager (CTES). date and time
- Device location (city, country) and the location date
- Name, version, and status of the detected anti-malware products
- Name, version, and status of the detected full-disk encryption product
- Make The manufacturer of a device. and model The name assigned to the device in the operating system. For Chromebooks, device name is not applicable and therefore shows as "Chrome" in the Secure Endpoint Console.
- Serial number
- Operating system name and version
- Policy group A collection of devices to which a set of policies are applied.

Depending on your user role, perform the following actions:
Accessing the mobile console
To access the mobile console:

Open the web browser on your smartphone or tablet and enter the URL that you use to log in to the Secure Endpoint Console.
It's best practice to add the URL to your Home screen. For more information about adding links to your Home screen, see your device's documentation.

Use your Absolute credentials to log in.
The system auto-detects your mobile device and opens the mobile console. The list of devices that you have viewed over the last 30 days shows.
The user role and device group assigned to you in the full-featured console also apply to the mobile console.
Working with the mobile console
You can work with the mobile console in the following ways:
- To view the list of frozen devices, click Frozen.
- To view the list of missing devices, click Missing.
- To search for a device, click the Search devices field and enter one of the following:
- Device name
- Serial number
- Username
- Identifier
- Chromebook annotated asset ID
The device's Details page opens.
- To request an action on a device:
- Click the device to open its Details page.
- Click the applicable icon and then complete the required fields to submit the request:

Freeze to create an on-demand Freeze request for the device
- Click
Remove Freeze to unfreeze the device if its frozen, or remove a pending Freeze request from the device
- Click
Report missing to add the device to the Missing page
- Click
Report found to remove a missing device from the Missing page
- Click
If you do not have the required permission to perform an action, its icon is not available.
- To switch to the full-featured Secure Endpoint Console, click
and click Switch to full version. To return to the mobile console, click
on the navigation bar and click Switch to mobile version.
