Unfreezing devices or removing pending Freeze requests

Depending on the Absolute product licenses associated with your account, the Freeze feature may not be available.

If the required permissions are associated with your user role, you can submit a Remove Freeze request to perform the following actions:

  • Unfreeze devices that were frozen by a Freeze request or an Offline Freeze rule

    You can also unfreeze devices by entering their unfreeze code locally on the device. If the device is frozen by a Firmware Freeze, or the frozen device is unenrolled, the unfreeze code is the only way to unfreeze the device.

  • Remove newly submitted Freeze requests
  • Remove Freeze requests scheduled to occur in the future

Alternatively, you can upload a file of device identifiers and submit a request.

To remove an Offline Freeze rule from a device, move the device to a different policy group, or deactivate or delete the rule in the policy group.
